Annual Report Of Gyan Adhar Welfare Society
On 14.01.2019 : Helping Hand to Fire Tragedy Victims at Kirti Nagar
Visited Kirti Nagar Slum where a havoc fire tragedy had occurred on 10.01.2019. We distributed school bags, woolen inners, socks, Water Bottles, Lunch Boxes and notebooks to the school going children so that they can resume going school. We had also written to concerned authorities e.g. Education Department, MCD and Govt. of NCT for providing necessary help to these underprivileged people and helped them for getting admission in schools.
On 21 to 26.01.2019 : Celeberation of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Week
Our NGO celebrated Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Week at different slums of Shalimar Bagh, Delhi as per program provided by office of Hon’ble SDM, Kanjhawala. A pledge was taken by all for “Saving Girl Child”. Our NGO’s Students also took part in competitions held at the office of the District Magistrate (Revenue), District North West. Our Girl students were shown movie “Padman” at M2K Rohini by Hon’ble DM Office.
On 16 to 17.02.2019 : Helping Hand to Fire Tragedy Victims at Paschim Puri
Our NGO visited Pasachim Puri Slum where a fire tragedy was occurred on 14.02.2019 and 250 huts were gutted in the fire. We distributed school bags, woolen inners, socks, Water Bottles, Lunch Boxes and notebooks to the school going children so that they can resume going school.
On 03.03.2019 : Conducting Educational Tour for NGO’s Children
We arranged an Educational Tour and our students visited Mughal Garden (Rashtrapati Bhawan), India Gate War Memorial, Rajpath, New Delhi.
On 08.03.2019 : Celebration of “Women Day”
We celebrated “Women Day” at Haiderpur Slum Dharamshala. Various programs on motivation and cultural programs were organized. A presentation on PPT was given on Health and Hygiene by Health and Family Welfare Department officials, Govt. of NCT (PCPNDT).
On 07.04.2019 : Educational Tour to Dr. Ambedkar National Memorial, N.Delhi
We organized an educational tour to Dr. Ambedkar National Memorial, Alipur Road, New Delhi for our NGO’s Study Center students.
On 10.04.2019 : Opening of New Study Center at CA Block Slum of Shalimar Bagh, Delhi
We started new Study Center at CA Block Slum for girl students living in slum. Presently around 50 students are attending the classes from 3 pm to 6 pm daily.
On 24.04.2019 : Organised Camps at Centers for helping students in getting admission in Schools
We organized camps at slums and helped children in getting admission in Govt. Schools. We also written letters to Education Minister regarding their problems. We also encouraged slum dwellers for admission of their children in schools. We held various raillies and workshop at slums in this connection.
On 24.04.2019 : Our NGO’s Children attended Workshop at Modern School, Shalimar Bagh
Our students were invited by Modern School, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi-88 for attending various workshops in their school. Children of Modern Public School warmly welcome our NGO’s children visited Science Lab and attended Workshop there. On earlier occasion, DLDAV School had also invited our students for workshops and ATL Camp.
On 05.05.2019 : Organising Painting and Writing Competition
We organized Painting and Handwriting competition at CA Block Slum. NGO Students actively took part in these exhibitions and prizes were distributed to them.
On 12.05.2019 : Organising of Yoga and Meditation Workshop
Our students were invited by Yog Vigyan Sansthan, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi-88 for attending Yoga and Meditation Workshop.
On 19 to 21.05.2019 : NGO Conducted Tour to Shimla for Haiderpur Slum Study Center
We conducted a tour to Shimla for our Haiderpur Slum Students from 19th to 21st May, 2019.
On 29.05.2019 : Opening of New Study Center at AO Block Slum of Shalimar Bagh, Delhi
We started new Study Center at AO Block Slum for girl students living in slum. Presently around 50 students are attending the classes from 3 pm to 6 pm daily.
On 10.06.2019 : Celeberation of “World Environment Day” and Plantation Drive
Our NGO celeberated World Environment Day on 10.06.2019. We started plantation drive at Integrated Complex, Communication and Operation, Delhi Police, Near Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi-88. Plant saplings were provided by PWD, Govt. of Delhi.
On 23.06.2019 : Organising Painting Competition for Slum Children
We organized a Painting Competition on 23.06.2019 at AP Block Park, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi-88 for our AO Block Study Center.
On 29.06.2019 : Organising Singing and Dance Competition for Slum Children
We organized a Singing and Dance Competition on 29.06.2019 at BR Block Park, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi-88 for our all Study Center.
On 06.07.2019 : Rally on “The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking
We organized a rally and awareness program on 29.06.2019 on occasion of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking at CA Block , Shalimar Bagh, Delhi-88.
On 08.07.2019 : Opening of New Study Center at U&V Block, Shalimar Bagh
We started a new study center at U&V Block on 08.07.2019 for children living in slums.
On 26.07.2019 : Workshop by MSW Students of Amity University, Gurgaon
A team of Masters in Social Work students joined our NGO and organized various interactive workshops during the period August, 2019 to November, 2019 at our all study centers.
On 03.08.2019 : Organising a Program for Watching Children Movie – “The Lion King”
We organized a program on 03.08.2019 for watching Hindi Movie “The Lion King” at PVR Shalimar Bagh, Delhi-110088 for our U&V Study Centers girl students.
On 08.08.2019 : Felicitation of “Delhi ke Farishtey Awards – Good Samaritan” to our Member
Our NGO’s member have saved many road accidents’ lives during the last one year and we are felicitated with “Delhi ke Farishtey Awards” by Govt. of NCT of Delhi. We have sent letters to Health Minister, Govt. of Delhi and Delhi Police in this regard.
On 01.09.2019 : Organising Yoga Workship for our NGO’s Children
Yog Vigyan Sansthan have organized a program “Yoga Classes on 01.09.2019 for our all Study Centers girl students.
On 21.09.2019 : Organising Camps for Resolving Issues related to Slums
A Camp was organized in which our NGO took up the matter/complaint from Slum near CA Block and U&V Block for cleaning of Nehar which was flooded with waste materials (e.g. plastic, garbage,etc). We sent emails to all concerned authorities on 21.09.2019 and help them in cleaning the same.
On 01.10.2019 : Celeberation of “International Day of Older Persons”
Our NGO’s children celeberated International Day of Older Persons on 01.10.2019 and distributed sweets and flowers to senior citizens and felicitated them at Haiderpur Center.
On 02.10.2019 : Painting Competition and Rally “Say No to Plastic” on occasion of 2nd Oct.
On occasion of 150th Birth Annivesary of Mahatma Gandhi ji, our NGO organized “Yog Classes, Painting Competition and a Rally on “Say No to Plastics” at BW Block, Shalimar Bagh. The Chief Guest for the program was Mr. Tilak Raj Kataria, Councillor, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi-88. Newspaper “Dainik Jagran” published article on our program.
On 11.10.2019 : Celebration of International Girl Child Day
On occasion of International Girl Child Day on 11.10.2019, a program was celebrated at Haiderpur. Senior Officers from Ministry of Health and Family welfare, Delhi Government organized a workshop for our all NGO’s children. Children performed many cultural programs.
On 18.10.2019 : Organising a Rally “Say No to Crackers-Save Environment ”
A rally was organized at AO Block slum and CA Block Slum in which all students of NGO participated. The theme of the Rally was “Say No To Crackers – Save Environment”
On 14.11.2019 : Celebration of Chidrens’ Day
On occasion of Childrens’ Day, our NGO students organized many activities and cultural programs in their study centers.
On 17.11.2019 : Organising a Health Check up Camp on occasion of “Naturopathy Day”
On occasion of Naturopathy Day, our NGO organized a Health check up Camp and awareness program by homeopath doctors and Naturopaths at our AO Block Study Center.
On 01.12.2019 : Distribution of T Shirts provided by Scholar Junior School, Shalimar Bagh
All teachers including the Principal of Scholar Junior School, Shalimar Bagh collectively taken an initiative and arranged distribution of T Shirts to our all AO Block Slum Study Center. Newspaper “Punjab Kesari” published an article for this event.
On 08.12.2019 : Rally by Students Showing Protest towards “CRIME AGAINST WOMEN “
Our NGO students organized a Rally showing their protest towards “Crime against Women”. The Rally was started from BW Block Shalimar Bagh and ended at AL Market. Many RWAs and Market Associations came forward and participated and gave support to our children for this social cause.
On 29.12.2019 : NGO’s visit to AIIMS Trauma Center for distribution of Blankets, Woolens etc.
An article in “The Hindustan Times” dated 28.12.2019 was published about problems of patients/their relatives at AIIMS Hospital due to acute winter season. Our NGO’s members visited AIIMS and distributed blankets and woolen clothes etc. to the patients and their relatives and tried level best in all possible ways.
